This is skilled, technical and analytical work supporting users
of computer systems and related computer equipment throughout the
Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) life cycle, which
includes service ticket intake, triage, investigation and diagnosis,
escalation, resolution, and closure of service incidents.
An employee in a position allocated to this class is responsible
for assisting in planning, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting
and repairing computers, applications and related equipment.
Work includes receiving incoming calls to resolve issues using remote
assistance tools and support consoles and escalates as needed. Work
is performed independently under the direction of an administrative
superior and is reviewed through conferences, reports and results
obtained.
Required Skills and Certifications:
- Associates degree in Computer Science or closely related field.
- Two (2) years experience in customer support of personal computers, servers, network equipment, network management software
