This is mid-level technical and analytical work in server operating
and hardware systems involving planning, installing, maintaining and
troubleshooting technical problems.
An employee in a position allocated to this class works on the
server operating systems, programs, recovery and system utilities. The
employee is responsible for assisting with analyzing server operating
system software configurations. Independent judgment is necessary to
accomplish tasks and a high degree of coordination is maintained with
other administrators, analysts, operations personnel, vendors and
customers.
This position reports to the Senior Manager and work is evaluated
based on quality of results obtained, conferences, customer feedback and
reports.
Required Skills and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, business with concentration in MIS or closely related field
- Two (2) years of experience in server administration
