This is specialized work in computer aided design and drafting (CADD)
and/or geographic information system (GIS) applications utilizing computer
resources such as the automated mapping computer files and coordinates
geometry (COGO) computer files.

An employee in a position allocated to this class processes complex
line work and basic GIS analyses; prepares and assembles detailed maps; and prepares graphic presentations, Work includes trouble-shooting problems and performing day-to-day maintenance.

Work is performed under the supervision of a higher-level GIS professional or administrative position and is reviewed for accuracy, technical knowledge demonstrated and achievement of desired results.

Required Skills and Certifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Geographical Information Systems, Surveying/Mapping, Engineering, Geography, Computer Science or related field

• One (1) years of experience in GIS applications
