This is basic to intermediate technical and analytical work
involving telecommunications voice services.
An employee in a position allocated to this class is responsible
for implementing and coordinating the installation, enhancement or
operational support of telecommunications and associated support
components. The employee utilizes hardware and software tools to isolate, troubleshoot and repair problems, performs field troubleshooting,
installations, packet captures and system deployments.
Work is performed under general supervision and is reviewed
through conferences, reports and evaluation of results obtained.
Required Skills and Certifications:
- Degree in Computer Science or closely related field
- Two (2) years experience in telephony, networking or VoIP system administration
- Obtain SIP Basics training certification and SSCA (SIP School Certified Associate) training certification, within 11 months of hire.
