This is a high level professional, analytical and technical
work involving the development, deployment, quality assurance or
evaluation of the procurement of software systems.

An employee in a position allocated to this class is
responsible for participating in or leading the planning, analysis,
design, testing and implementation phases of application software
development and/or procurement.

This position reports to a Senior
Manager or System Integrator within Application Services and the
work is evaluated based on quality of results obtained, conferences,
customer feedback and reports.

Required Skills and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or closely related field
  • Three (3) years of experience:
  • Developing web based applications with ASP.NET, HTML, VB.NET or C# technologies combined with ORACLE PL/SQL or MS SQLServer T-SQL programming;

OR

  • Developing web based applications with ASP.NET, HTML, VB.NET or C# technologies combined with ORACLE PL/SQL or MS SQLServer T-SQL programming and client server based applications with PowerBuilder object-oriented approach with PFC combined with ORACLE PL/SQL programming;

OR

  • Developing client server based applications with PowerBuilder object-oriented approach with PFC combined with ORACLE PL/SQL programming

OR

  • In Quality Assurance Software testing of business applications

Systems Integrator

This is an advanced software engineering position involving the development and or procurement of application software systems including the selection of appropriate hardware platforms. An employee in this position has a complete understanding of application processing systems, from both software development and hardware platforms perspective. This position is responsible for producing and reviewing technical analysis, design and the implementation of information systems.

Responsibilities include the ability to accurately identify and document desktop and server/mainframe software components as well as application
volumetrics for proper sizing of server and network needs. Leads and mentors team of developers involved in the full System Development Life Cycle or Quality Control functions including documentation, developing test scripts, reviewing system analysis and design deliverables, testing applications and contributing to Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions.

This position reports to an Agency Consultant or Senior Manager.

Required Skills and Certifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in business with concentration in MIS, computer science or closely related field
  • Five (5) years business application development experience
